Our Weekend

Well...it's been a fairly uneventful weekend. We picked up the kids on Friday but didn't get home until after 7pm so they weren't able to trick or treat. After we got home, I think we had a total of 4 trick or treaters come to the house. Now we'll be forced to eat the candy we got. The second batch. The first batch I bought way too early and it didn't make it to Halloween. :)

Saturday was "fall cleaning day". At least that's what we told the kids. Washing dishes, counters, cabinet doors, mopping the floor. Sean moved all the furniture out of the living room, took up the rug, and then dust mopped and used hard wood floor cleaner before putting it all back together again. Our bedroom is a disaster because it was a catch all for our junk but it's slowly getting better too. Especially since I dragged everything out of the closet and put it back in again. I got rid of a big box of shoes and two bags of clothes.

Saturday night we all headed to Charleston (Molly included). Evidently Molly gets car sick. We visited with my parents and went out for pizza and then headed to my cousin Seth's art show at the Paper Cafe. It was pretty cool but probably not the best event to take an 8 yr old and a 10 yr old to. Molly and Ruby didn't really mesh very well at my parents house. Ruby's hair stood on end and she growled and lunged at Molly a few times. Molly was just hopping around like a happy little freak the whole time. It was pretty amusing but I think it made my mom nervous.

We almost forgot about the end of daylight savings. Sean and I were both hungry for biscuits and gravy this morning so I headed to the store. At Schnuck's you can earn cents off of gas for your purchases. We never shop there because it's too expensive but it's really close so every now and then we get odds and ends there. Well on my receipt it said I got 5 cents off so I decided to fill up the beast. When I scanned my card at the pump it gave me 15 cents off a gallon! I ended up filling up for $1.97. Who would have thought I'd get so excited about gas under $2?

We're now watching the Bears v. Lions game and waiting to take the kids back. Exciting weekend, huh? I'm dreading going back to work tomorrow. But next week I'll be out of the office a little bit so I have something to look forward to. I'm going to the doctor for my foot (finally!) on Tuesday, Thursday I'm leaving early to head to Chicago for a work meeting and I'll be there all day Friday.

Ok..I'm rambling. I'll post more later this week if anything interesting happens.

nice! I especially like the part about Molly being carsick. I saw these shoe inserts at Walgreens that are made especially for heel spurs. Did you try those? Here's my weekend pictures, since you never check facebook! Andrea
